With words from the creator:
ECCLESIASTES 3:1-8
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;….
I am not religious or more to the point, dogmatic, but I have always loved the music of Ecclesiastes. These days, there are so many translations of it that it’s hard to find the one with the best “sound.” St. James sounds a bit stiff, but some of them are so pedestrian the music goes missing. This was as close as I could get to how I hear it in my head — and maybe the actual song, especially one one with Judy Collins and Pete Seeger, might be the closest to the original intent of the poetry.
There IS a time and I hope it’s not too late.

Marilyn I had thought I had responded. Peter. Paul and Mary is the one I first heard. We may even have sung it in church??
